We are pleased to announce that the organisers of Ilfracombe’s famous Birdman event have confirmed the 2020 edition will take place on Saturday 1st August.
The event is the single biggest day in the town’s calendar, drawing crowds of more than 13,000 people to Ilfracombe and providing a boost to the local economy as well as a great day out for locals and tourists alike.
Birdman will once again be a totally free event for all to enjoy, with live music all day, as well as the famous bar, food village and a host of family friendly fun and attractions.
All proceeds from Birdman go to Ilfracombe Round Table, the group behind the organising of this huge event. Our local Round Table charity then distribute the funds to worthy causes around the town, so every penny makes a difference right here in Ilfracombe.
Birdman is a coup for Ilfracombe, but is an expensive event to stage, especially as it is completely free for all to enjoy. The only way this can happen is with the support of the local business community, and Ilfracombe Round Table ave put out a call for sponsors to support the event.
