The finest sunrise I ever witnessed was in Yala National Park in Sri Lanka, which I was lucky enough to visit on my honeymoon. But, frankly, as a town we are often blessed with both sunsets and sunrises that can rival those of anywhere else on earth. Just look at the colours in this snap from Combebird, which was taken during a walk to work. A slice of flame red and golden orange contrasts dramatically with the moody, overcast sky. As the sun sets on another summer season in our beautiful home town, I thought this little stunner from Combebird was quite an apt image.I’ll admit the weather hasn’t been this perfect throughout the holidays, but overall we’ve been very lucky. A combination of the national unlock back in July and frequently changing (and very confusing) restrictions for those travelling abroad have seen staycation venues such as ours boom this year.Will this trend continue into 2022? I honestly don’t know.
